Fancy Nancy

Fancy Nancy is Heather's first Role Model. I am absolutely loving it. Every day for school she tells me that she has to dress fancy and we proced to find the fanciest things in her closet that she can wear that day without being too much of a distraction to the teacher and students.
It's cute how she puts her outfits together. She does it all by herself and everything matches when she's done. Some day she'll be dressing me.

I hope she keeps Fancy Nancy as a role model for a long time.

Year in Review

This year began with a bit of a speed bump in the Roskelly road. On January 27th our kitchen caught fire and we had to move out of our home while all of our things were removed from our house and cleaned. On June 1st we were able to move back into our house. The upside to all of that, though, was getting a new kitchen.

This summer Heather turned 5 and Trevor turned 3. Our vacation this year was another chart topper. We visited the Salt Lake Temple grounds and some of the sites there. Then onto Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell and Paul's house in Page, Az, The Grand Canyon, Finished off with a quick visit with Ann and her family.

In August Heather started Kindergarten. She loves being in school. She absolutely enjoys her classmates and her teacher. Trevor cannot wait until he can go to "a school of his own". We'll have to see about getting him in one next year. I have loved helping in Heather's class this year. It's so fun to watch the kids grow and learn. Heather was very excited to lose her first 2 teeth this year. Thanks to the tooth fairy she is now "rich".

This has been one of the best Holiday seasons we've had so far. As the kids get older it's getting to be even more fun to watch them open their presents and see the looks on their faces as they open each gift from Santa. We have enjoyed spending time with family and friends. It feels so good to be around everyone.

We hope you all have had a wonderful year and that the coming year brings you as much joy and excitement as we have been blessed with.

Heather Lost Her First Tooth

Heather lost her first tooth last month and she's only 5. I though that wasn't supposed to happen till she was 6 or 7. I guess this is what comes from getting your first teeth in at only 4 months.

She was so excited she would wiggle the tooth in her sleep. In fact she had climbed into our bed

and woke me up crying that she had lost her tooth and couldn't find it. I said "what do you

mean you can't find it"? She said "It fell in the covers and I don't know where it is". Luckily we found it tucked between Jon's back and the matress. She was one happy kid.

home Heather says "We should have

brought the stroller."

Poor Heather had been

slipping all over the dirt

going up and down these steps.

There were a lot. :)

We ended our tour of Mt. Lassen

with a tour of the Subway Cave

about 23-30 miles away.

going to turn out, but it didn't

do too bad. You definately get

that it's pitch black in there.
